Batley Torchlight Procession 2019

St John Fisher was well represented by staff and students at the Batley Torchlight Procession. The Torchlight Procession was started in the 1951 by Father Gallon so that parishioners could take part in what is both an act of public worship and a display of witness to our faith. Hundreds of people from across the Diocese attended.  Sixth Form students continued the tradition of marshalling while others carried our school banner as we processed from the Market Place to St Mary’s Church praying the Holy Rosary and singing hymns to Our Lady.
