Visiting Author helps us Celebrate World Book Day!

Renowned author Nick Stead was our visiting author for this year’s World Book Day and helped us to celebrate the creative writing process. Nick explained how he begins, develops and sustains the writing process before reading one of his short stories and his inspiration for this. In the classic style, the ending is unclear and allowed for much scope, discussion and debate as to whether it ended in survival or failure allowing students to speculate and wonder. Nick also shared his hints and tips for success before letting the students free to explore, create and write. Thank you Nick Stead!
