The Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools to support and raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. It is allocated to pupils who receive free school meals, pupils who are, or have been looked-after by the local authority and pupils who have a parent in the Armed Forces.

Diminishing the Difference.
Our aim is for all pupils to acquire a breadth of knowledge and skills, so they have access to more opportunities in the future.
It is important that we diminish the differences that occur between our disadvantaged pupils and their more advantaged peers. The background a pupil comes from should not determine the chances and opportunities they have in life. By removing barriers that our disadvantaged pupils face, they will be able to reach their potential and will acquire a breadth of knowledge and skills that will give them access to more opportunities when they leave school.
