Governance
The Section 5 Ofsted inspection that the Academy underwent in November 2017 raised questions about the quality of Leadership and Governance within the school.
As a result of this, The Blessed Peter Snow Catholic Academy Trust took the decision to remove all delegated powers from the existing St John Fisher Academy Council.
Part of the response to our Section 5 judgement was to create a ‘Statement of Action’ outlining how Governance arrangements would change to help our school to bring about rapid improvement. That ‘Statement of Action’ was submitted to Ofsted and approved by them in February 2017.
The statement outlined that a ‘Trust Intervention Board’ (TIB) would be put in place in the first instance until June 2019 to oversee the Governance of the school.
