Respect – Addressing Sexualised Language and Behaviours
Students in Years 7-11 will be engaging in a wealth of activities and discussions highlighting the impact of sexualised language and behaviour towards others. In PSHCE lessons from 4th October, they will learn about the increasing use of inappropriate language and behaviour in society that is becoming normalised. At St John Fisher we want to address this issue and educate our students to realise the negative impact of this culture. Sixth Form students engaged in such lessons during their induction which has given some students the confidence to stand up and speak out against inappropriate behaviours.
We hope that parents and carers will help to support our endeavour to stamp out sexualised language and behaviour, by reinforcing our message of Respect as a key element of our CARE values.
